Free NHS Flu Vaccinations are available for:
- 65 years old and over
- pregnant women
- people with certain medical conditions e.g.:
- heart disease, chronic liver or kidney disease, neurological conditions, MS, learning disabilities or celebral palsy
- people living in long-stay residential home, care home or other long stay facilities
- people who receive carers allowance or are the main carer of the elderly or disabled person(s) whose welfare may be at risk of you fall ill
- health professional or social care worker
- children over the age of 6 months with a long-term health condition(s)
- children aged 2 and 3 years on 31 August 2019 (that is, born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2017)
- children in primary school
Flu can be serious and even deadly.
**26,408 deaths associated with influenza (flu) in 2017/18, were observed through the FluMOMO algorithm with confidence intervals in the UK, reported by Public Health England.
